    Tri-State SHRM Student Case Competition & Career Summit

    APRIL 7, 2018


    • An all-day student conference, to engage with college students with an interest in Human Resources.
    • Available to SHRM student chapter members and other college students who are exploring HR as a potential career.
    • Hear from and engage with Tri-State HR professionals, SHRM national staff, Faculty from all over the region and fellow attendees.

    Students register a team to compete in the Case Competition and/or register individually to attend the career workshops, keynote presentation, and other conference activities designed to prepare students to advance and develop personally and professionally.  This event is designed to broaden the perspective of student attendees on what it means to be a member of SHRM and a professional in the HR community.

    Case Competition

    In this “realistic job preview,” undergraduate and graduate students from Tri-State universities and colleges will leverage their knowledge to analyze a realistic HR situation they may eventually encounter in the workplace.

    Up to 15 teams may participate (10 undergraduate and 5 graduate). Written and Oral Case analyses will be judged by a panel of experts and prizes will be awarded to top teams.  MORE INFORMATION


    Career Summit

    The Summit will feature a keynote speech by an accomplished Chief Human Resource Officer for Fortune 500 companies. Throughout the day, for case and non-case attendees, there will be various hands-on/interactive workshops and activities to provide students with new skills, career development and opportunities to build their networks.
